Have you ever ordered a pizza?

Of course you have, right?!

And when you order a pizza, you have a very specific order in mind.

You don’t just call up and say “give me a pizza” and expect them to read your mind. If you did that, the pizza guy would ask clarifying questions to figure out what to put on your pizza. (He’d also think you were crazy for thinking he could read your mind.)

When you order a pizza you know, for example, that you want a pepperoni pizza with half mushrooms and onions.

Or maybe you always get a cheese pizza with garlic crust and extra sauce.

Whatever it is, you always get really specific about what you want. Otherwise, how could the pizza place possibly know what to make for you?

Here’s the kicker:

You know how to order a pizza, but you don’t get that specific when you ask for what you want out of your relationships, career, finances, health, or spirituality.

The lesson: You’ve got to ask for what you want out of your life or you’re never going to get it.
